What makes a pitch catch a journalist’s attention, and what is likely to put you in their big fat “no” pile?  The best people to ask are the ones who field press releases and story pitches every day.
Meet the Media, an event hosted by the Delaware chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), brings PR professionals together with newsroom leaders including Mark Eichmann of WHYY, Tom Lehman of WBOC and Scott Goss of the News Journal for a morning of insights and practical tips, including what journalists expect from PR folks, the best way to pitch a story and what not to do to avoid rejection.

The event will be held at the Delaware State University campus in Dover on Sept. 22 from 9–11 a.m. The event, which costs $29.00 for PRSA members and $39.00 for non-members, includes a networking continental breakfast.
