Hello, friend. The 20-person staff of Technically Media is heading out for its annual retreat. We’re loading the vans as we speak. No disrespect to Delaware’s beaches but we’re heading to Surf City, N.J., this year.
It continues an annual summertime tradition for the publishing company behind Technical.ly and Generocity.org. The retreat gives us time to bond with members of our distributed team, evaluate the state of the company and chart strategic initiatives — all while enjoying outdoor activities and a cold beverage or two.
We will not be publishing stories Thursday and Friday, to make sure that editorial staffers can fully participate. We’ll be back to your regularly scheduled programming on Monday, June 12.
When this doe-eyed editor first came into the Technical.ly fold, the team retreat was held in the Poconos. In 2015 it was out in New Hope, Pa. Last year we explored the wilds of greater Carlisle, Pa.
Follow us on Snapchat (username: technicallym) for updates from the beach. We even got a custom geofilter this year!
