Shark Tank” fans, rejoice: We’ve got a Philly-based founder gracing your screens this Friday night at 8 p.m. during the show’s season 12 premiere.

Chef Jared Cannon, founder of four-year-old healthy meal startup Simply Good Jars, will be vying for investments from sharks Mark Cuban, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec and Daymond John.

Cannon launched a line of jarred, ready-to-go salads stored in connected smart fridges at the end of 2017, and was chosen for New York-based Food-X, an accelerator program for food-related startups, in 2019. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Cannon suspended typical operations. He instead focused on feeding Philadelphians through a delivery program to their homes (though it’s not clear from the company’s website if that program is still live) and partnered up with goPuff to expand its reach.

The founder told us last summer that the company’s jars were placed in more than 60 locations in Chicago as of 2020’s Easter weekend as well as 175 Sheetz locations as of Memorial Day weekend.

Along with Cannon, an entrepreneur from Lewes, Delaware will pitch her line of stress-relief tools; a pair of entrepreneurs from Holstein, Iowa will pitch their apparel that keeps drinks cool and hands free; and an entrepreneur from Rochester, Minnesota, will share her “no-fuss solution” to keeping babies occupied, ABC said in a release.

The episode will air on ABC this Friday, March 5, at 8 p.m.
