7 tech meetups you can join in Philly

Joining a meetup group is a great way to network, meet likeminded people, expand your skillset and advance your career. Here are just a few that will be represented at Super Meetup 2019.

Technical.ly’s mission is focused on bringing communities together. The same could be said of meetups. But how do you get all of a city’s niche tech meetups together in one place for one purpose? You create a Super Meetup.

The idea of Super Meetup is simple: Affinity groups are integral to any tech scene. Every now and then, it makes sense to rally the leaders and members of a city’s tech-related groups and gather for one big mixer. It’s a chance to make new friends, forge new connections and see who’s working on cool stuff.

Super Meetup 2019 goes down Thursday, Aug. 22, at Cherry Street Pier from 5 to 8 p.m., and we already have over 22 meetup groups confirmed for the event. Here’s a preview and description (provided by each group’s Meetup.com page and lightly edited) of just some of those groups that you can meet.

Psst, it’s not too late to get your meetup group involved: Email events@technical.ly for more information.
