Editor’s note: Every week we ship an email newsletter featuring the region’s most exciting career opportunities. We’ve lovingly called it This Week in Jobs (aka TWIJ — “twidge” — here at Technical.ly HQ). Below is this week’s edition. Here’s the last one we published on the site; it’s meant to live in your inbox.

The Planet Fitness of newsletters

Assuming all resolutions are going according to plan, many of you are about to hit the two-week mark of your brand new gym membership. You did it!

Other people — perhaps, for instance, a somewhat sarcastic yet delightfully charming newsletter writer — have resolved to remain happily soft-bodied this year.

Much like Planet Fitness, this is a judgement-free zone. So, whether you’re currently running three miles on the treadmill or about to grab a second sugar-laden breakfast muffin, join us in catching up on the local tech job scene, won’t you?

From the news desk

Pinnacle 21 is happily settling into its new digs in Blue Bell, Pa. The company creates data standardization software that streamlines the FDA drug approval process so patients can get the meds they need faster. It also looks over a scenic park with a life-sized chess board — which is important, but mostly because things that are not their normal size are just really fun. Learn more about life at Pinnacle 21 and its open jobs here.

B2B data-analytics startup Crossbeam just raked in some serious dough — $3.3 million in Series Seed funding to be exact — and will use said cash to build out its team as it works on building a product-market fit. Though no positions are currently listed on the site, don’t wait — reach out and show ‘em you’ve got a raging case of taking initiative.

The Meet Group — makers of relationship-building social media apps like Meet Me and Tagged — just plowed through its 2018 revenue goals, bringing in $4.5 million more than projected for the year. CEO Geoff Cook credits the company’s decision to add live streaming and in-app gifting capabilities into its apps. Check out the variety of openings across The Meet Group’s New Hope and Philly offices.

“Prior to an interview, you should have done adequate research on the company and who you are meeting with in order to have a productive conversation. With that being said, you should be able to explain the type of impact you’ll make on the company and problems you’ll help them solve or divert.”

Matt Plasha, manager of talent acquisition at Linode
