Philadelphia Fusion, our fair city’s official Overwatch team, did Philly proud Thursday in its inaugural match against the Houston Outlaws.

The Philly esports team played five games against the Outlaws and came out victorious, winning three out of five “maps.”

The Overwatch League games are played in Los Angeles and streamed through Twitch. In Philly, Overwatch fans gathered at a watch party in University City hangout Wahoos, featuring giveaways, an emcee and Sixers-style chants:

Here’s how Garrett Fuller recapped the face-off for OverwatchScore.com:

Philly seemed to have all the answers, countering ultimates and burning through health pools with reckless abandon to take the round, take the map, and take the win against Houston in a shocking (to some) victory.

The Fusion are owned by Comcast Spectacor, the Comcast division that also owns the Flyers. The team’s next match will be this Saturday, when they’ll face the also undefeated London Spitfire.
