In Philly, 2017 was a slow year for venture capital and angel investment deals, both by size and number of deals.

The rest of the country felt a similar pinch, sure, but the lull also poses an opportunity to think about what goals local investors have for the coming year, and how they plan to counter the lack of yeast in the numbers.

On Nov. 29, entrepreneurs will get a chance to have breakfast with Gabriel Investment Managing Director Holly Flanagan on what her firm’s priorities are, what growth strategies the firm deploys among its portfolio companies and, yes, what they need to secure that term sheet. The free event is happening at the University Science Science Center’s Quorum space.

Gabriel Investments, cofounded by storied investor Richard Vague is an early-stage investment group that has backed companies like recently exited Cloudamize and Ticketleap.
