For the ninth year, we at Technically Media are hosting the biggest gathering of journalists, editors and media makers in the Philadelphia region. But the name has changed.
On Saturday, Nov. 4, join us for the Klein News Innovation Camp — which you may have once known as Barcamp News Innovation. The name change is for two reasons: To reflect our from-the-beginning relationship with Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication and to address continued confusion around that word Barcamp, which was always a way to convey the event’s informal, unconference style.
That continues. Come meet, speak and mingle with 300 media professionals and enthusiasts as we learn how communities are informed at an unconference that those attendees and you will program on the spot. The day includes a light breakfast, lunch and an afterparty.
Klein News Innovation Camp will feature sessions on topics like journalism ethics in a troubled era, funding successes, audience engagement, partisanship and a broad array of new thinking.-30-
