The School District just launched a Netflix of sorts for professional development

As part of a broader digital makeover within the School District of Philadelphia, the institution’s website just made available a lil Netflix of sorts.

The Exemplary Teaching Video Library is a professional development tool that highlights the work of Philly teachers from kindergarten through high school. Over 80 short videos with real classroom lessons are available for education specialists to review and consult.

For example, here’s Jenn Gentlesk, from Spring Garden’s Julia Reynolds Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School introducing a bunch of high-schoolers to the many subtleties of Spanish adjectives:

The online vid repository, formally announced Wednesday in a short reception at the School District, is a project led by the Office of Teaching and Learning.
