Here’s who won the 2017 #PHLGeekAwards

The black-tie affair proved epic once again. Here's who took home some hardware tonight.

Tonight was the seventh edition of the Philly Geek Awards and it was good times.

Fourteen awards were doled out to the best Philly has to offer at the intersection of creativity and social good. We’re talking impact orgs, scientists, activist groups, video game creators, educators and more. (Speaking of more, here’s the full list of nominees.)

The black-tie ceremony, held this year at String Theory Schools, is just wrapping up. Head over to Generocity to see who won.

Zack Seward

Zack Seward is Editor-in-Chief of Technical.ly, the local technology news network. Previously, Seward was the Innovations Reporter at WHYY and NewsWorks.org in Philadelphia. Before that, he worked at WXXI in Rochester, N.Y., as a reporter and editor for a statewide public radio reporting project.
