Full disclosure: Technical.ly is among the event producers behind OpenBracket.

Back for it’s second annual edition, this year’s OpenBracket coding competition is packing twice the moolah.

The code-off, which will hold its finals Oct. 20 in Wilmington, Del., is aiming to entice developers from all over the country with a $100,000 prize pool.

This Friday, Aug. 4, participants will duke it out on HackerRank for the online trial. The top 100 from the trials will earn a spot in the finals.

What if the champs were among Philly’s seemingly endless pool of dev talent? Last year, the competition was tough: Harvard, Google and MIT were all repped in the winner’s circle.

Organizing things again this year are: Zip Code Wilmington, Short Order Production House, First State Innovation, consultant Kirsten Wolfington and our sister site Technical.ly Delaware.

Well, get at it, Philly:
