Talk about cool perks: Philly-based MRP, the makers of a suite of analytics software solutions for sales and marketing, is offering its employees with student debt a monthly contribution to help get that number down.

Starting June 1, all 230 U.S.-based employees of the firm (which also has offices in Europe, Asia and the Middle East) can apply for the benefit. While the $100-a-month contribution might seem modest, some experts say putting up that additional amount every month could drastically reduce the time it takes to repay the debt.

“With so many of our junior team members being new college graduates, our goal was to reduce this burden as they begin their career,” CEO Kevin Cunningham told Technical.ly in an email. “We place an enormous value on our team, and we know one of this group’s biggest concerns is student loan debt. That’s why we’re proud to be one of just a handful of companies in Philadelphia offering this new benefit.”

(We know of at least one Philly dev who has grappled with the weight of student loans.)
