Nominate the finest geeks for the 2017 Philly Geek Awards

For the seventh (!) year in a row, top-flight geekery will get its special night in Philadelphia.

We now have all of the details for the 2017 Philly Geek Awards, founded by Geekadelphia in 2011 and organized in partnership with and Generocity since 2016.

Happening Aug. 26 at String Theory Schools, the night will celebrate the best scientists, social impact organizations, technologists, game devs and more.

Roberto Torres

Roberto Torres became Lead Philly Reporter in May 2016. Prior, he was a freelance contributor to and Al Dia News. The native Venezuelan moved to Philadelphia in 2015 after reporting on research at his alma mater, the University of Zulia. Whenever he's not fencing deadlines, he can be found standing in line at Overbrook Pizza in West Philly, running Netflix/Hulu marathons with his wife or reading news from Venezuela.
