Rowan University’s second annual ProfHacks hackathon is all about human computer interaction

South Jersey’s Rowan University wants to get student developers thinking about how they interact with the technology around them.

Students are hosting the school’s second annual ProfHacks hackathon this weekend, Feb. 4-5. It’s for high school, undergraduate and graduate students and this year’s theme is human computer interaction.

Organized by students of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics chapter at Rowan, ProfHacks launched in 2016. Three sub-tracks — Sensor Journalism, Business and Systems Engineering — will offer opportunities for projects with additional focuses.

Three overall winners will be announced, in addition to winners for each of the three tracks. Judges are still needed to come on Sunday and award prizes. If interested, please email Gracie Thomas at graciet8@students.rowan.edu.
