A slice of Philly’s tech scene is hopping over the Delaware River for a tech-oriented entrepreneurship event called the UP Conference, organized by Camden-based nonprofit Waterfront Ventures.

The UP Conference is happening Jan. 14 at Camden’s Waterfront Technology Center (right where the Camden CoLab coworking space is based). A quick browse through the speaker lineup will show you it’s peppered with Philly tech folks, like RJMetrics founder Robert Moore and SnipSnap founder Ted Mann. (Fun fact: RJMetrics used to work out of the Camden CoLab, when it used to be the Rutgers Camden Business Incubator.)

Get tickets ($35-$45)

From the venture capital side, Philly’s SeventySix Capital will also have representation by way of Director of Operations Chad Stender. Investor Marc Kramer, Angel Venture Fair’s executive director, will also be speaking at the event.

BTW, you can get a a $5 off the ticket price. Just enter the code “CAMDEN” when you subscribe to our newsletter. We’ll email you the discount code by Jan. 10.

    Who is behind Waterfront Ventures?

    • Khai Tran

A bunch of very handsome and hardworking tech nerds. 🙂

      • Brad Denenberg

Thanks for the worthless answer. Roberto, can you answer please?

        • Melissa Le

Hello Brad, my name is Melissa from Waterfront Ventures. How can I help you?

          • Brad Denenberg

So I’ll ask the question again – who is behind waterfront ventures? The article says you are a non profit – are you a 501c3? Who sits on the board? Is this gov’t led economic development initiative?

          • Juliana Reyes

Hey Brad! We’ll work on getting those answers for you, but one of the cofounders is Johnathan Grzybowski, who also runs a marketing company called Waterfront Media.

          • Brad Denenberg

            thanks Juliana
