Fishtown-based design studio Bluecadet showed off its recently launched NYC office by playing host to a session of Fast Company’s Innovation Festival last week.

CEO Josh Goldblum and Bluecadet NYC Managing Director Lilly Preston joined forces to deliver a session titled Can stories save museums? How Bluecadet is using experience design to engage visitors through narrative, which prompted this nifty write-up from the organizers.

During the talk, Fast Company’s Cale Guthrie Weissman writes, Goldblum highlighted the firm’s quest to strike emotional and intellectual connections when it builds installations (like the many we in Philly have been able to engage with).

“While there’s no exact formula for how the Bluecadet program builds out its projects, personal connection is at each one’s core,” Guthrie Weissman writes. “At the firm’s Manhattan offices, the team showed how it formulated interactive projects that allowed participants of all kinds to really experience a place beyond the physical space.”
