Center City-based studio J2 Design is putting together a quarterly talk series. The first event is July 19.

When we wrote about WeWork coming to town last June, the coworking giant mentioned it wanted to see more of the tech scene in its NoLibs space.
Next Thursday, at 5:45 p.m., a few familiar faces from the Philly tech community will be stopping by for the first edition of a new quarterly speaker series called EdgeCase, organized by Center City-based design shop J2 Design.
The talks will cover success cases in the fields of design, tech and business, and are geared to find common ground among the three.
Dan Olson, the J2 developer who’s putting the shindig together, says the name of the series comes from an engineering term used frequently around the office for a beyond-normal situation during website development.
“These people are pushing things to a place where it’s out of the ordinary,” Olson said.
Here’s the speaker lineup:

  • Morgan Berman, cofounder of MilkCrate.
  • Conrad Benner, photographer and creator of StreetsDept.com.
  • Alex Hillman, cofounder of Indy Hall.
  • Hiromichi Koga, CEO of DigitalCube.
