It was the surprise of the evening.
During last night’s All In: The Party 2016 fundraiser, hosted by Philadelphia Academies Inc., Second Lady Jill Biden announced the creation of a Teen Tech Fund, with the Knight Foundation as seed funder.

Biden made the announcement alongside former Philly Mayor Michael Nutter — who received the “Stand and Deliver Award” earlier in the evening.
The fund’s first $10,000 was donated by the Knight Foundation, with further investments to come.
