ApprenNet made it to the finals of the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA)’s CODiE Awards in the Best College and Career Readiness Solution category.
To get to the final round, the company went through a series of demos and interviews with their peers, said cofounder Emily Foote. There’s one more voting round to go to decide the winners, which will be announced next month. Other finalists include Adobe, IBM and HubSpot.

In other ApprenNet news, the company poached RJMetrics content marketer David Williams to be its director of marketing. Williams also happens to be Foote’s husband.
The edtech company, which is distributed between San Francisco and Philadelphia, is hosting a happy hour at coworking space Industrious about the hardships of growing a company on May 3 during Philly Tech Week 2016. RSVP here.
ApprenNet’s Philly team of eight works out of an office at Industrious, Foote said. The company employs 20 around the country.
