Two months out from the launch of its first Philadelphia location, New York City coworking giant WeWork is trying to get the people excited.

We got messaged by Philly-based WeWork assistant community manager Hayley Leopold on LinkedIn yesterday:

Hey! Hope all is well. I came across your profile on Linkedin and saw that noticed you’re very involved in the Philadelphia Community. I work for a company called WeWork, have you heard of us before? We are a community-focused collaborative workspace that offers month-to-month office space for small businesses, start-ups, entrepreneurs, artists, etc. The first WeWork in Philadelphia is slated to open 6/1 in Northern Liberties at the Piazza and would love for you to come take a tour with us.

OK, it was vaguely spammy.

But we were excited to get a peek at the massive new space, which WeWork announced last summer. (They also have plans to open a second on top of the Cheesecake Factory in Center City.) Alas, WeWork spokesman Nate Howell said they weren’t ready for press to come through and take photos.

According to WeWork’s site, private offices start at $600, just a touch cheaper than its fellow corporate coworking competitors Industrious and MakeOffices. LinkedIn tells us that WeWork has hired at least four Philly community managers, plus a Philly-based real estate analyst.

Full disclosure: WeWork interviewed this reporter for its Creator magazine.
