Phew, Philly.com looks pretty great.

Philly firms Happy Cog and Superfriend.ly have been working on a redesign of the site for the two city’s daily newspapers for much of the last year. It’s a lot cleaner and feels easier to navigate. In a statement, the company highlighted the responsive design, or how the page is tailored to whatever device you’re using to view the site.

Philly.com outlined the new designs here.

Philly.com’s VP of digital content Eric Ulken stressed, in a statement, that this was just the beginning of the design process.

Even though the new site looks great, it’s still haltingly slow for us (probably has to do with the ads).

The last time Philly.com got redesigned was in 2012.
