99U, Behance’s editorial arm, is bringing its particular brand of practical advice for “creatives” to Philadelphia next Monday, Sept. 14.

It’s part of the New York City company’s “99U Local” effort, where 99U is running events in more than two dozen cities outside New York.

Locally, the event is organized by Curalate designer Melissa Morris Ivone. You’ll hear from Streets Dept.’s Conrad Benner, Comcast’s Danielle Cohn and Superfriendly’s Daniel Mall.

The free event is at 7 p.m. at the Center for Architecture at 1218 Arch St.

Last year, Ivone applied to be a 99U ambassador and organize an event locally. After she got chosen, she attended the annual 99U Conference in New York last April to meet with other ambassadors and learn about the company’s mission.

“I’ve been to so many conferences and events over the years that try to stuff you full of inspiration, but 99U’s focus on the execution of that inspiration makes it exponentially more worthwhile,” she wrote to us in an email. “And I’m really thrilled to be able to share a piece of that with the makers and doers here in Philly.”

She said that for now, it’s a one-time event. Though we’ll note that 99U launching a Meetup page for the each of the markets its hosting events in suggests a longer-term plan.

The company also secured local sponsors for this event: Allen & Gerritsen, Think Brownstone, Comcast and Chariot Solutions.

Also, we heard that 99U Editor-in-Chief and Technical.ly cofounder/O.G. Sean Blanda might be in town for the event. So that’s cool.
