Ninety-seven games were chosen as finalists. Each of the games will be vying for an award at the festival, held from Oct. 9-12.
The Philly games are:
- Soulfill, by Lil Wins.
- Elbow Room, by Deep Dark Hole. (Deep Dark Hole is a new venture from Cipher Prime cofounders Dain Saint and William Stallwood and former Cipher Prime developer Andrei Marks.)
- Henka Twist Caper, by Shawn Pierre.
What else do these Philly games have in common? They were all heavily tested at the Philly Game Forge coworking space, and “all three deal with physical space as an element to gameplay, which is pretty rad,” said Lil Win’s Jason Marziani.
