The West Philly Tool Library is growing in popularity.

In June, the nonprofit, which loans tools to community members, saw a 35 percent increase in usage compared to the same time last year, loaning nearly 1,200 tools to 200 members.

To accommodate the increased demand, the tool library is raising $10,000. The money will go toward providing educational programs, developing outreach efforts and buying more tools.

As of this writing, the campaign has raised $4,855.
