When DreamIt Ventures is choosing startups for its accelerator, sometimes it takes more than just a great idea or team.

“We might accept a company only if someone we think would be a great mentor gets excited about the company and wants to be the mentor for it,” said DreamIt Ventures managing partner David Bookspan in a Forbes article about accelerators. “We only accept companies where we believe our experience, networks and resources can make a material difference for the company.”
