This app shows you how often SEPTA Regional Rail is late (with fixes)

The app, which compares actual arrival times with SEPTA schedules, offers proposed fixes to the SEPTA schedule for trains that are chronically late, like the Chestnut Hill West train that leaves Suburban Station at 7:41 on weekdays.

Just how often are SEPTA‘s Regional Rail lines late?

Use this web app to find out.

The app, which compares actual arrival times with SEPTA schedules, offers proposed fixes to the SEPTA schedule for trains that are chronically late, like the Chestnut Hill West train that leaves Suburban Station at 7:41 a.m. on weekdays. It’s one of the first civic apps we’ve seen that offers a solution to a problem found by crunching open data.

The app was built by financial analyst William Entriken and first soft-launched in fall 2012.
