Tech Impact, the Callowhill nonprofit that helps other nonprofits use technology, won a $200,000 grant from Bank of America, the organizations announced at an event earlier this month. It’ll use the money to expand its services nationally, a goal of the organization’s and one reason why the organization rebranded nearly a year ago, as well as expand its ITWorks young adult tech training program.
People’s Emergency Center, the Powelton Village nonprofit that serves the homeless, also received the $200,000 grant, which comes with leadership training. PEC will use the money for a rebranding campaign that will help the organization reach more people. PEC was an early KEYSPOT partner and ran public computer labs as part of the KEYSPOT program.
