South Kensington’s coming creative density will challenge [CityPaper]

Soko Lofts are a 311-unit project developing in South Kensington

Gentrification to South Kensington has happened slowly in the last decade, as new renters, homeowners and modest new construction showed infill from nearby Northern Liberties and Fishtown.

The big projects are next, and with large scale development projects that bring hundreds of new people to changing neighborhoods quickly, there is apprehension.

What happens when education-focused live-work space Oxford Mills, residential Liberty Square and the troublingly named SoKo Lofts all come on line, joined by other smaller scale projects? That’s the question by this CityPaper feature.
