After a year and a half of trying to find a space, the proposed Coworking for Parents project has called it quits without ever officially opening.
Founder Aliza Schlabach said it proved impossible to find a space for the right price.
“We had to admit that the current real estate market, at least in our area, would not support our vision,” she wrote in an email newsletter to Coworking for Parents supporters.
This vision included a space that could accommodate both entrepreneurial parents and their kids. Schlabach had been organizing occasional coworking days in coffee shops, though the Meetup group has been canceled (still on Facebook here).
