Curtis Herbert started working on Slopes during Startup Weekend in May 2013.

Curtis Herbert, a former Lockheed Martin employee, said Startup Weekend got him excited about finishing the app. The 30-year-old lives in Collegeville, Pa. and runs a consulting company called Consumed by Code.
