At this year’s TechCrunch Disrupt conference, two app demos called sexist and explicit shocked the crowd. TechCrunch editors apologized and said they’d screen demos beforehand.

But that’s not enough, said TechGirlz founder Tracey Welson-Rossman.

If you want to create lasting change, she wrote, tell more stories of women in tech.
