Tax delinquents aren’t supposed to be able to keep their business licenses, but the city said it doesn’t have the manpower to keep track of these tax delinquencies manually. But technology is coming to help: “The city’s chief innovation officer, Adel Ebeid, said the city will award several contracts shortly to implement technology to improve tracking and integration of data across the L&I and Revenue departments.”
