This week: A documentary about women technologists, a launch party for a book about a Philadelphian mad scientist and a year-end celebration of the work that the Sustainability Workshop students have done.

Philadelphia Premiere of “She++:The Documentary”: At this event hosted by SignatureRED and RailsGirls Philly, watch a documentary about women technologists, followed by a panel discussion. Book Launch & Gallery Show for The Resurrectionist @ Indy Hall: Celebrate the launch of Old City publisher Quirk Books‘ latest novella about a mad scientist who works out of the Mutter Museum. Thursday, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Indy Hall, 22 N. 3rd St. Old City. RSVP. Free.

Sustainability Workshop End of Year Celebration: Meet the students of this alternative senior year program (soon to become a full-fledged high school) and see what they’re been working on this year, including “eco-friendly fashion, electric cars, rooftop hydroponics, raised-bed gardens, solar arrays,and pre-fab modular high efficiency housing.” Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The Sustainability Workshop, The Navy Yard. 1413 Langley AvenueRSVP.
