Iroko Pharmaceuticals opened a new Navy Yard headquarters last month. The pharmaceutical company and its more than 60 employees relocated from its former Navy Yard headquarters of five years.

The new 56,000 sq.ft., 4-story LEED-certified facility will accommodate the company as it anticipates significant growth in 2013, according to a spokeswoman. Iroko plans on hiring 180 people this year, the Inquirer reported.

Iroko is currently working on developing a certain type of NSAID, or anti-inflammatory drug like aspirin, that relieves pain with lower doses than what’s already available over-the-counter.

The pharmaceutical company is another part of the Navy Yard’s revitalization that includes businesses like Urban Outfitters and GlaxoSmithKline.
