Domino!, the iOS version of the classic game by indie game developer Flyclops, is not even a year old and is already getting some major play.

The game has been downloaded more than 700,000 times, said Flyclops cofounder Parker Whitney, and more than 80,000 people play the game every day. Players have played more than 3.5 million matches and are adding more than 35,000 each day, Whitney said. Revenue numbers weren’t initially disclosed. [Updated, see below] Domino! is now profitable, Whitney said, and the team has stopped taking contract work and is “100 percent focused on Domino! right now.”

In a review from this summer, Games.com even asked, “Is Domino! for iPhone the next Words with Friends?”

Download Domino! for free here. Or get the paid version on holiday sale now for $0.99 here.

The Flyclops team is based out of Indy Hall but is looking for new space and has plans to grow its original team of three (Whitney, Jake O’Brien and Dave Martorana). Cofounder Martorana is also a cofounder at another Philly startup: Hire an Esquire, which provides staffing for law firms.

Check out the team’s holiday card (and, as Whitney said, “Have a laugh at our expense!”) below.
