Happy Monday, Philadelphia. We hope you made it through last week’s heat wave because this week’s event slate is as diverse as they come. And don’t forget, you can get these event highlights delivered to your inbox every Monday at noon.
This week, pow-wow with creatives, bone up on your Python and dress as Spiderman (but not at the same time).

Old City Creative Corridor – If you didn’t get a chance to make it out to the Arts and Technology event earlier this month, hang out with the same crowd at this week’s Old City Creative Corridor meetup at National Mechanics. As always, the group will discuss its mission of attracting businesses to Old City. Thursday. 6:30 p.m. Old City. INFO
PhillyPUG – If Python is your programming language of choice, PhillyPUG has put together 20 minute “Rolling Thunder” talks from three speakers. Topics range from Windows monitoring to integrating with R. Tuesday. 6:30 p.m. Center City. INFO.
Wizard World – If you live in the city and have never been to a Wizard World convention, you’re missing out on one of our great local treasures. Yeah, we said it. Seeing the latest in comic books is neat, but the best part about Wizard World is people watching when attendees dress as their favorite characters. Or, if you’re too cheap to get a ticket, just hang out at the Reading Terminal Market. This Weekend. All Day. Center City. INFO.
