Michael Nutter became Philadelphia’s 98th Mayor in January 2008. Having made technology a priority of his administration, the city has seen a number of business and technology policy initiatives emerge during his tenure. Nutter grew up in West Philadelphia and attended St. Joseph’s Preparatory School before attending the University of Pennsylvania, where he developed a passion for business and economics and was accepted into the prestigious Wharton School of Business, graduating in 1979.
