Mel Baiada is an entrepreneur and investor.
In 1989, he founded what became Bluestone Software, which sold in fall 2000 to Hewlett-Packard for what became a $350 million deal.
His full name is Paul Melan Baiada, but he's best known as Mel. He has five brothers, including Mark, who is also an entrepreneur in the Philadelphia area.
The Baiada Institute for Entrepreneurship is named for his father Laurence, after Mel gave a donation to Drexel University.
