Erika James became The Wharton School’s dean on July 1, 2020. She is the first woman and first person of color to hold the position in the University of Pennsylvania business school’s 139 year history. James previously worked as the dean of Goizueta Business School at Emory University for six years and has held tenured faculty positions as an expert in organizational behavior, gender and racial diversity, and leadership development.
