Christine Derenick-Lopez is a civil servant and HR professional. For much of her career, beginning in 1992, she has worked at or near city government, including various roles at the City of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia International Airport. She worked for a year at AstraZeneca.
Upon the departure of her predeccesor, Derenick-Lopez was named interim Chief Administration Officer for the City of Philadelphia under Mayor Jim Kenney and then, in January 2017, she was given the permanent post. She is a longtime board member of the nonprofit that hosted the West Philly High School HybdridX automotive program and later supported its incarnation as the project-based Workshop School.
