The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory plans to partner with the Howard County Economic Development Authority to open a new accelerator.
Called theĀ Accelerator for the Commercialization of Technology, the new space “will help bring to market technology developed at the massive Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel,” reports theĀ Baltimore Business Journal.
A formal announcement of the partnership and new accelerator is expected at an event today. The BBJ also reports that the accelerator’s base of operations will be inside the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship.
