Gov advisory board taps philanthropy leader

Delaware women are making big moves this month.

From the elections, where Lisa Blunt Rochester became the state’s first Black senator and Sarah McBride became the first ever openly trans member of the US Congress, to other organizations in the state.

Cora Castle of Omnipotential Energy Partners and Tynetta Brown of Philanthropy Delaware are among the women — and a few men — making Power Moves in Delaware this month.

A small but mighty innovation ecosystem

News Incubator: What else to know today

• To increase free access to Naxalone, an opioid overdose reversal medication, Delaware has installed five harm reduction vending machines at counseling locations. The machines will offer Naloxone kits, Xylazine test strips, drug disposal bags and wound care kits. [WDEL]

• New Castle County homeowners are freaking out as they receive their tax reassessment this week. Under the new revenue-neutral tax rate, you shouldn’t see a tax jump though you will probably see an unrelated increase in school taxes. [Town Square Delaware]
