Title: Assistant Project Manager– Retail Systems

Reports to: Project Manager


The Assistant Project Manager oversees and manages daily functions and communications related to operations in the Gap Technology Depot and supports retail systems deployments and team projects.  During times of slowness in new store operations, the Assistant Project Manager will assist with support operations.

Preferably, the candidate will already have experience as a Store Support Analyst to continue in that role as a secondary responsibility.


· Collaborate with Retail Project team on maintaining the calendar for all new store projects including openings, closings, and relocations along with any additional store systems projects.

· Assume role of point person for all ordering, invoicing of new store and additional projects equipment.

· Direct efforts on process improvement to reduce brand facing issues during turnovers and increase cost saving measures for installations.

· Provide leadership for Project Coordinator and Tech Depot Lead in daily tasks and operations.

· Support daily build tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Support new equipment and cataloging for each related store/project
  • Help quality control configuration and testing of equipment for builds
  • Maintain checklist for configuring and testing of build equipment

· Support operational tasks NOT related to any new build, including but not limited to:

  • Inventory of devices and cables kept in storage for break/fix situations and ordering or alerting proper teams for reorder (includes informing Engineering Project Manager when server, switch, or other equipment needs re-ordered)
  • Manage Depots with Compucom and Spencer and regulate communication on low inventory
  • Recycling of faulty returned equipment once confirmed unusable (includes coordinating recycle pickups with vendor)

· Training of new analysts on configuration, reception, inventory, etc. and related tasks.

· Keeping build team knowledge current on new equipment and configurations.

· Ability to function alone and as a team member in a fast-paced support environment

· High sense of pride in driving issues to resolution, ownership in delivering excellent service and ability to recognize trending issues

· Strong oral and written communications

· Ability to lift 50+ pounds
