Terbium Labs is looking to add a technical project manager to our team to help drive our next cycle of engineering innovation.
Terbium Labs is an award-winning startup and our flagship product, Matchlight, is an industry leading dark web data intelligence platform. We are a remote-first company headquartered out of Baltimore, MD but with team members across the country. We take pride in our company culture and encourage you to read the Culture section on our website.
The project manager position will report directly to the product management organization to help to manage projects spanning our API, UI, SDK, desktop application, as well as internal engineering systems within our platform such as our dark web crawling infrastructure. This position will work with staff engineers, QA, engineering management, and product management to create and own project timelines from inception to delivery including gathering specifications and post-delivery retrospectives. Daily tasks will include attending sprint planning meetings, getting status updates from engineering and QA, and updating project owners on progress, issues, and decision points.
This position will have two main responsibilities. As the nexus of communication across roles the technical product manager is primarily responsible for continuously gathering and summarizing project statuses across the technical organization. At any given time the project manager position is responsible for knowing which projects are in progress, where they are in their timeline, who owns the current step, what if any blockers or concerns exist. The second is to help Terbium continue to evolve its project management practices both by highlighting areas of improvement as well as adapting to product and team growth.
A successful candidate will be comfortable working in a startup environment which may require greater comfort with evolving priorities and team structures than in a larger company. As a result of this, a successful candidate will enjoy iterating on timelines and project management processes to best meet the evolving needs of the organization. Our current project management process is based around weekly sprints but does not dogmatically follow agile principles.
If helping to deliver wide variety of high-impact technical projects in fast moving startup sounds fun and exciting to you here’s what we think would make a strong candidate:
This role is remote-friendly, although new hires have the option of working out of our headquarters in Baltimore, MD, or our offices in New York City, Boston, or Atlanta.
Candidates lacking the desired experience are welcome to apply but should make an exceptional case that they are otherwise qualified for this position.
Underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. Please submit a resume for consideration, along with any supporting materials you can share to highlight your qualifications, to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to hearing from you.Apply Now
