Publishing Services is seeking a Software Trainer to join their team. This role is based on The Agora’s main campus – where every day, roughly 1,200 people work as part of the organization. Set in Baltimore City’s historic and cultural hub called Mount Vernon, there is no shortage of opportunities to feed your imagination there. Responsibilities

The Software Trainer will conduct new hire training for the end users of the applications supported by Publishing Services.  This person will also run various types of training sessions to include in-person, video and web. They will be responsible for new user outreach and promoting courses and for assessing individual and group training needs as well as tracking end user attendance in an LMS system.

  • Conduct training classes.
  • Conduct outreach, promote and engage new users to attend training classes.
  • Learn software applications, including the business purpose(s) of each, how to use them, and when the systems are used as well as how end users are utilizing each application.
  • Provide timely feedback to the Course Developers and assist where needed in the development of training programs, creating, reviewing and editing assigned training materials.
  • Identify and suggest ways to improve: awareness and image of the training department, training materials and training department business and management processes.
  • Conduct assessment of training needs within the businesses.
  • Provide timely feedback from end users to the application teams on the usability of the various software applications.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable speaking in front of small and large groups
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects effectively
  • Strong interpersonal/consultative skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Computer literate, with minimum of intermediate-level skills using MS Word, PowerPoint & Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn technology and software applications
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, and/or Portuguese is preferred but not required

  • Be considerate of meeting organizers and attendees.  Be on-time, respond to all meeting invites, and notify organizer if your attendance status changes
