Fastspot has an immediate need for a multi-talented Senior UX Strategist to join our Strategy/User Experience team.
Our Strategy/UX team works throughout each project to ensure Fastspot’s products meet the needs of our clients’ target audiences. We collectively envision goals and begin the strategic planning for each project, working with designers and developers to translate those plans into a beautiful, usable, and functional website. The ability to communicate with clients, leadership, designers, and developers is crucial for this position.
For Fastspot, the online experiences of both our clients and their target audiences matter greatly. We need someone who will act as an advocate for the users of both the front- and back-end experiences of all of our digital products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for employing a variety of user-centered research and strategy methods.
The Senior UX Strategist will help determine strategic and functional requirements using the findings from our Discovery Phase. You will help to craft deliverables that clearly outline user needs; you will create information architectures and sitemaps to elucidate taxonomy; you will write creative briefs, storyframes, and content strategy deliverables. You must also be able to apply findings within strategic client-facing deliverables, such as thoughtful and informed roadmaps and digital brand recommendations.
At the beginning of each project, you will be expected to conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops that help Fastspot better understand our clients’ business needs and target audiences. Beyond direct interaction with clients, you will run group interviews, send surveys, and conduct competitive analysis, content audits, and usability testing.
This is a full-time position that is located at Fastspot’s Baltimore-based office. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applications from international applicants. Travel is required, often to one- or two-day client visits.
This position has an opportunity to evolve into a director-level position. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, is able to work proactively to meet billable and managerial responsibilities, and is able to deliver creative and innovative solutions within our project boundaries.
