Our Senior Software Engineer will have a passion for designing and developing solutions in embedded, IoT, mobile, web, desktop/server, and cloud-based environments using leading technologies and agile processes. The ideal candidate will be able to provide strong technical leadership, mentorship to team members and will bring vision and solutions to the table.

You Will Be Working On

  • Being hands-on with eCommerce and IoT systems to design and implement customer-facing software capabilities
  • Using API-driven design to unify business functions across multiple teams
  • Building cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and Golang
  • Driving software projects for large-scale cloud-based deployments
  • Researching emerging technology trends and working with external consultants to improve the overall software offering at Lutron

Your Skills & Qualifications

  • Solid Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, object-oriented programming concepts, algorithm design, and run-time analysis
  • Multi-threaded, asynchronous and concurrent application design, and development
  • Web technologies (REST-based web services, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.)
  • High-level programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Objective C, Python, Go
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Basic user-interface and database design
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0 
  • 5+ years of industry experience
