RevZilla’s Technology Team is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to be part of a small team that’s responsible for enhancing, maintaining and monitoring our cloud infrastructure. You will play an important role, working closely with software and QA engineers, to ensure system uptime and improve site performance. The successful candidate is one who can embrace our core values.

As part of this team you will be on an on-call rotation that is responsible for our production environment.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and measure performance and uptime service levels for RevZilla’s technology infrastructure. Collaborate with and mentor software and QA engineers to establish and drive operational acceptance criteria for projects and features.

Work alongside the team to increase quality, resiliency, reduce risk, and drive efficiencies in development, release, and operational tasks. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop new site features or work on general maintenance tickets.

Requirements

  • Experience operating, automating and scaling cloud based Docker/Kubernetes infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience designing, implementing and operating build & release automation and continuous integration and deployment.
  • Experience managing operational monitoring, metrics and logging systems.
  • Scripting/automation development skills.
  • Demonstrated history of seeking out and bringing in new ideas.
  • Remains calm and effective in the face of unexpected change.
  • Unix system administration skills preferably in a container focused environment
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative, iterative development, high quality and robust systems
  • Ability to design and implement robust and maintainable utilities.

Preferred Experience

  • History of active participation in Open Source projects. (Tell us your GitHub URL!)
  • Experience with securing cloud infrastructure and implementing intrusion detection
  • Retail e-commerce industry experience
