This exciting, new role within the Office of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) will lead a comprehensive digital marketing strategy by conceptualizing, guiding, executing and analyzing various projects in support of the campaign and organizational priorities. The Associate Director will evaluate and recommend a comprehensive plan for blast emails, website presence, social media marketing and more. This position will work collaboratively with all areas of DAR in addition to the Office of Communications and Marketing at the University of Delaware. This position supports the overall efforts of DAR Communications, but is primarily responsible for those priorities related to digital communications and marketing.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years of job-related experience in digital communications, marketing or related field. Solid knowledge of web analytics tools (i.e. -Google Analytics) and the ability to adapt strategy and various channels to a variety of audiences. Hands on experience with online marketing tools and practices. Familiarity with web design and HTML. Management experience a plus. Experience working with video, email and web vendors. Publications and communications experience required. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously, while managing competing priorities. Ability to work with a team as well as independently and to be proactive in seeking solutions to challenges.
• This role requires working occasional evenings and weekends for special events.
• Evening and weekend activities as well as local and regional travel.
