As a Infra Configuration Consultant within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA and Birmingham, AL.

Job Description

Responsible for IT Asset Management (ITAM) to configure the core functionality of the ServiceNow IT Asset Management module, as well as operationalize and rollout a global process for ITAM.  The role will provide Asset Management expertise and enterprise support of Asset Management processes and practices.

  • Expert Level in IT Asset Management and operational delivery
  • Minimum 3+ years in ServiceNow Discovery and Asset Management
  • Minimum 3+ years in ServiceNow Development and ITAM processes
  • Design and implement solutions for end to end Asset Management lifecycle
  • Interact with the Asset Management system to ensure data quality of new or changed Asset records, ensuring data integrity both from the ownership and discovery standpoints
  • Use common service data model concepts to maintain the data integrity between CMDB and asset as required
  • Develop and Monitor ITAM metrics to determine efficiencies and take appropriate action to modify and improve
  • Implementation and configuration of ServiceNow ITAM: Hardware asset management and license managements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to maintain and integrate to other platforms to management and maintain software asset management and license management
  • Lead efforts on operationalizing and enterprise support of ITAM processes
  • Develop integrations and process automation with other systems using ServiceNow Integration HUB and Orchestration
  • Collaborate with the ITAM tea to provide best practice related to Asset Management and CMDB
  • Manages the requirements for planning, organizing, and implementing enterprise-wide technology infrastructure and configuration management functions.
  • Leads the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of major configuration changes from acquisition to termination.
  • Oversees the effective implementation and use of the configuration management process, methodology, tools, procedures, and audit activities.
  • Develops and publishes metrics to qualify and quantify configuration success; ensures that configuration practices are in compliance with standards.
  • Ensures the accuracy and validity of the configuration database for content on assets, major infrastructure and platform components, system documentation and service components.

Configuration Management – Knowledge of and ability to manage the process, tools and techniques for managing hardware, software, communications, facilities and personnel that provide the organization's IT services.

ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) – Knowledge of and ability to apply ITIL processes and standards for managing the IT infrastructure.

IT Quality Assurance – Knowledge of and the ability to utilize a variety of specific technical tools and testing methods to ensure the quality of IT production.

Performance Measurement and Tuning – Knowledge of and the ability to monitor, measure, and optimize individual and combined utilization of hardware, software and telecommunications components.

Software Change Request Management – Knowledge of, and experience with, managing product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.

Software Product Installation and Support – Knowledge of, and experience in, helping customers install, integrate, and operationalize software products or systems.

System and Technology Integration – Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems, and the ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.

Systems Software Infrastructure – Knowledge of software technology, and the ability to plan global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
